I can't believe it was a year ago that I was taking pictures for this little cutie's first birthday!  Happy 2nd year little one!

This weekend I was in North Carolina for one of my best friend's wedding & snuck in a quick session with Miss Rylie!  She's a year old now, and way too interested in the world around her to smile for a camera.

But boy does she love playing with some flowers!

She may not have smiled much, but she sure did insist that her daddy smiled!

During pretty much every session involving a child, there is a time like this.  For all of the parents out there, don't worry about it because it will happen!  :)  How else would we get adorable shots like this?

Sneak Peek! Kaylee's Sweet 16 {Hampton Roads, VA Photographer}

Sometimes the stars align and I'm able to get a sneak peek up very quickly.  Tonight is one of those nights!  For one, it's winter, and my schedule is a bit slower than it is in the summer, and it's also Saturday night, which means my husband goes to sleep early and I have some spare time to sort and edit!

First Birthday Fun! {Hampton Roads, Virginia Photographer}

Someone had a birthday!  I took some family photos for Lauren and Allie a few months ago and now Allie is turning one!

Here's precious Allie with her aunt.  I'm an aunt myself and I just love these sweet moments they shared together.

This chair was one of her birthday presents - it was her mom's chair when she was little, and has been re-upholstered by her grandfather.

Sneak Peek! {Asheville, NC Photographer}

It's that time again-- more sneak peeks!  Yesterday was filled with firsts... a first birthday... a first Christmas session... and a first for the Haywood Photowalk!

Here's precious Allie from a few months ago...

And here she is now... at her first birthday.  I can't even believe how much she's grown!

My favorite?  My favorite is watching the little ones totally dig into the cake.  And she did it so beautifully.  Dainty like the lady she is, but still got messy and fun!

 We also had smiley Rylie's first Christmas pictures.  This girl loves the camera, loves her new teeth, loves an audience, and loves glitter.  Lucky for us, she had all of those.  And random passerby gushing, "What a cute little baby!"

And a few adorable shots of her in her ducky clothes playing with... what else... her duckies!

It has been said that in this picture she has an uncanny resemblance to Cindy Lou Who.

Then I googled it to refresh my memory... and then I busted out laughing!  Yes, yes, she definitely looks like Cindy Lou Who in this picture.

Next up was the Haywood Photowalk!  It was the first one-- and although many people couldn't make it at the last minute, but our models were there and we had a great time!
